World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest vs Gunther | WWE SummerSlam 2024 Prediction

All indications were that Gunther will soon make his rightful place in the World Heavyweight Championship picture after losing the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Indeed, he advanced to the next level by winning the King of the Ring tournament, which gave him the opportunity to face the World Heavyweight title at SummerSlam.

Damian Priest vs Gunther World Heavyweight Championship

To his credit, Damian Priest has shown growth in the role since winning ‘Mania and cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. He has defeated Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins, but The Ring General should put a stop to his reign at SummerSlam.

Priest is prepared for his next adventure in The Judgment Day, even though Finn Bálor won’t be crucial to the resolution. Gunther should easily defeat him, just like he has every other player on the main roster.

There’s no putting off what is bound to happen. It’s possible to argue that Priest’s run has reached its limit and that Gunther ought to be carrying the gold as he enters Bash in Berlin later in August.

Who Will Win Damian Priest vs Gunther match card prediction

It’s fascinating that they took this tack and kept Gunther out of the game for so long, just to put him up against a heel who occasionally goes toward tweener instead of a straight-up babyface. That’s such a strange way to refer to Gunther. However, I continue to think that’s the setup. After this, there will be a bash in Berlin.

Unless they intend for Gunther to lose the title by some sort of stall tactic shenanigan, such as a disqualification finish that would be incredibly cheesy for SummerSlam, then there will be a rematch in Berlin, I’d put money on The Ring General to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Priest’s expression has begun to change more quickly now, so something will happen when Gunther grabs the title.

Prediction: Gunther wins.
